welcome background about services contact
People choose psychotherapy when they have a strong sense that their lives are not in order. Some have ailing intimate relationships; some have difficulty in their professional lives; some see themselves repeating unsuccessful patterns in love, work and friendships. All have a personal awareness that their lives could be different. All I have worked with have come into therapy knowing that there were things they wanted to change and needing a place to explore how to make those changes. Ultimately, such exploration can and often does lead to productive change and a happier, more fulfilling life.

The most important requirement for successful psychotherapy is finding a safe, therapeutic relationship. In that place, therapy can help you understand how you have come to be the person you are today and allow you to choose how you live in your life. Some people use psychotherapy to focus on specific goals that seem most pressing in their current situation. Others choose to address longer-term change. Together we will clarify your goals and work together in a way that is most appropriate for you. We will periodically evaluate those goals to ensure that we continue to address your concerns.
