I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and am licensed in the state of California. My professional training is in the evaluation and treatment of those who have experienced trauma events that continue to impact their lives in a negative way. I have worked with state correctional inmates including those on death row; veterans diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder; torture and gender-based violence survivors; survivors of catastrophic events; childhood maltreatment survivors; survivors of sexual assault; and those seeking to address their use of violence. I also am experienced in working with professionals who have been impacted by their work with trauma survivors. I work with individuals, with couples and with groups. I provide court testimony as an expert witness. I belong to several professional organizations including the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group.
